Re-enlisted into the 35th Reg. Co. E. I have copies of his muster rolls for both Services. J. W. Was married to Margaret Smith from Greene Co. AL. His son H. J. Wedgeworth, Howell Joel
Wedgeworth, is buried at Hester Cemetery, House, Neshoba Co., MS. H. J. does have a CSA headstone.
H. J., Howell Joel Wedgeworth served 5th Reg. Co. K , in the Battle of Franklin, TN and was captured in the last part of the battle. He served his last 6
months as a POW in the Union Camp Douglas, IL Prison camp. H. J. Served in the 5th Reg. Inf. for his entire service in the War His brother, Lankford Harris Wedgeworth born 12- 8-1821, Died March 21, 1888 Lauderdale, MS buried Lockhart Methodist Ch. was in the 35th MS, Co. E.
