Lundy Men in the Civil War ...

Lundy, V. Montgomery Sidney Lundy (1838-1907) Entered First Confederate Hospital of Jackson, MS on Jan 3, 1863 with dysentery chronica,  vaccinated on Jan 8, 1863, released Feb 3, 1863. Captured at Vicksburg on Jul 4, 1863, paroled on Jul 8, 1863. Exchanged and returned to service on Nov 20, 1863. Surrendered at Citronelle, Al on May 4, 1865, paroled at Meridian, MS on May 15, 1865. 

Enlisted in Philadelphia, MS on Apr 13, 1861. 11th Regiment, Co. D "Neshoba Rifles marched to Lynchburg, VA, where he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and given a medical discharge Aug 12, 1861. He was paid $59.79 for discharge:  clothing pay, money for food, and 16 cents for every 20 miles that he had to walk home (abt. 1000 mi.). He then enlisted in CO. E of the 35th MS Inf. Lundy, Henry Jefferson: Spring 1862, as he does not appear on the original muster roll. Captured at Vicksburg on July 4, 1863. paroled Jul 8, 1863, exchanged Nov. 20, 1863. He was at Macon, GA in 1864, as he entered a hospital. Captured at Blakely, Ala on Apr. 9, 1865 and taken to Ship Island Prison until May 1865, when he was taken to Vicksburg for parole.
