My grandfather R. N. Germany of Neshoba County (b.1900-d.1994), enlisted in the army at age 17 before the draft. I have an Oct 1919 news clipping from the Democrat showing he reenlisted for service with the Allied Expeditionary Force in Siberia. Besides Siberia /Kamchatka my grandfather served in China, the Philippines,  and in Hawaii. He also served in the Marine Corps. He was a regional commander of the WW1 veterans in the 1980s.
