R. J. Richmond was born 9 April 1835 (Bible record). She was born Rebecca Jane Boyd in Sumter County, Alabama, the daughter of Mathew Harper Boyd and Elizabeth Amanda Key. Rebecca Jane Boyd married William D Richmond in Sumter County, Alabama 16 February 1854. William and Rebecca had eight children. My descendant is Robert William Richmond born 1867-died 1947 He was born in Neshoba County, MS. William D Richmond was the son of Thomas B Richmond born 14 May 1811 in Caswell County, NC and died 13 November 1876. The mother of William D Richmond was Susannah "Susan" (Burton) Richmond born 25 January 1810 in Caswell County, NC and died 19 February 1887 Neshoba County.
