Branch of The Nicholsons'

About the year of 1800 Henry Nicholson was born in Scotland. When
he was a good sized boy his father decided to chastise him for some
offense, and Henry ran off from home and never did go back. He fell in
with a company and landed in Georgia in his latter teens.

When grown up he married a Miss Wiggins. They settled down in Georgia
on a farm, but soon wonderful stories came ot them of rich lands and
splendid range out west in Mississippi. Consequently, after several
children had been born to them they migrated to Mississippi settling per-
haps in Kemper County. They did not remain there very long, and then
located in Neshoba County in the neighborhood of what is now Linwood, two
